Description
The world of fashion isn't simply made up of beautiful clothes and runway models. Synonymous with the identity of the fashion house is the design of the building it resides in and the look of its interior. Fashion Retail examines the influence of architecture and interior design in the creation and marketing of high fashion. Illustrated with projects by such architects and designers as Herzog & de Meuron and Rem Koolhaas (Prada), David Chipperfield (D&G), Philippe Starck (Gaultier), and Future Systems (Selfridges, Comme des Garcons), this handsome, lavishly illustrated book details the latest trends in top-level fashion interior design. With brief introductory text describing specific types of interiors crossing a wide range of fashion items (clothes, shoes, eyewear, handbags, face creams, nail polish, and furniture), the book details 30 projects in five sections.
