Becoming a Care Supervisor

This is an extension text in the "Skills for Caring" series which is aimed at health and social care workers and which reflects the skills and standards necessary to obtain National Vocational Qualifications. This text covers such issues as relationships, team building, negotiation and time management. Its premise is that management skills can enhance care provision. It is based on National Standards in Care and the Management Charter Initiative and covers a broad range of issues facing the new care supervisor. The text has been field-tested and is suitable for group or individual study.
