For 12 days in May 1940 the Hurricane squadrons of the Royal Air Force faced the might of the German Air Force and carved a glorious chapter in the annals of aerial warfare. Using contemporary accounts, official records and personal interviews, from both sides, the authors have produced a detailed day-by-day study of the efforts of the outnumbered RAF fighters during the decisive initial stage of the Battle of France.
