The Analysis of Plastics

Covering all aspects of the analysis of plastics by chemical and physical methods, this book is based on both the author's personal experience and on a complete review of world literature on the subject. Each of the eight chapters deals with a particular polymer or group of polymers and copolymers and terpolymers are also fully discussed. In addition to the analysis of the polymers the analysis of non-polymer components of the polymer, whether adventicious (water, solvents, monomers, catalyst residues, etc.) or deliberately added (processing additives, antioxidants, plasticisers, etc.) is covered at the end of the chapter or section.
