Description
From international bestseller Glen Cook comes the tenth book in the chronicles of the Black Company - the series that forever changed the face of fantasy.
After years of fragile peace, the Black Company marches to war once more - and Croaker, long absent from the Annals, takes up the quill once again.
Their enemies are many and merciless: Lisa Bowalk, the forvalaka bent on vengeance; Soulcatcher, brilliant and mad; Mogaba, the traitor general; a supernatural spy wearing a friend's face; and, darkest of all, the ancient goddess Kina, who seeks to bring about the dreaded Year of the Skulls.
To survive, the Company must cross worlds, confront old ghosts, and face the consequences of their own legend.
