Description
From international bestseller Glen Cook comes the fourth book IN the chronicles of The Black Company - the series that forever changed the face of fantasy.
The Dominator is dead - nearly. What remains of him, a sliver of pure malice, has been hammered into a silver spike and driven into a sacred tree no sane soul would dare disturb.
Enter a crew of petty thieves. In greed and folly they pry the spike free and unleash a catastrophe the world is unprepared to face.
Reborn and ravenous for vengeance, the Dominator sweeps across the land in a scorched-earth campaign, leaving gutted cities in his wake.
The White Rose must rally every ally she can - and withstand the corrupting pull of the Dominator's lingering essence - before his return consumes the world.
