Sachiko's Wedding

A Japanese woman, Sachiko, is being married. While watching events around her, her mind travels back to her life so far, and her spirited but ultimately fruitless attempts to escape the tyranny of traditional social and familial ritual. The author also wrote "The Foreign Husband".
