Bespectacled Miss Ivy Wareham is far more comfortable discussing the details of ancient Greek literature than the latest fashion. Ivy is ecstatic over the independence her new inheritance offers her, but on her journey south she jencounters a dangerously handsome stranger who stands in the way of Ivy's opportunity. Torquil Beauchamp, Marquess of Kerr, refuses to allow his aunt's property to be passed along to a group of bluestockings. But Quill's plan changes when it's revealed his aunt may have been murdered, and he is forced to team up with Ivy to solve the mystery.
