This atlas is part of the KEYSTART series, an atlas programme for 7 to 11 year olds.
Each spread of the atlas is devoted to a single topic and the maps are supported by text, photographs, illustrations and simple graphs.
Different scales are used from large scale plans to small scale maps of Scotland and the UK.
The topics in the atlas have been selected to meet the requirements of the framework for environmental studies and include material linking to people in the past, people and place, and people in society. Other topics include Communities in Action and World Citizens plus Scottish case studies.
