Star Maths Starters Year 4

This series is designed to support teachers in delivering fresh, lively and interactive mental maths starters in line with the renewed Framework. The series includes six 48-page books covering Years 1-6, each with an accompanying CD-ROM. The Framework now requires teachers to think about the purpose of each oral and mental starter under six broad headings: Rehearse; Recall; Refresh; Refine; Read; and, Reason. The 30 starters in each year cover these six 'Rs' as well as a range of objectives across the seven strands of the renewed Framework for Maths. Every starter includes a whole class interactive activity. The interactive resources on CD-ROM can be used on every interactive whiteboard and many of them are open-ended enabling them to be used over several sessions. Comprehensive teacher's notes are provided for each activity in each full-colour book and include annotated screenshots providing an at-a-glance guide to using the activities.
