The Lion's Cage

Joe Porter, a tough, streetwise young private in the British Army in 1945, forms "the company" with Irishman Eddie Pearce and American Nick Hillier. With their "army" of deserters, and exploiting the confusion that has spread behind the advancing Allied armies, they go into the haulage business.
