To his family and schoolmates there is nothing out of the ordinary about Johnnie; but his teacher, the mysterious Mr Zak knows that Johnnie is special. A natural bridge builder, who can dip in and out of time is only born once in a couple of 100 years, and Mr Zak has need of him for personal ends.
