Description
The Irish still matter in San Francisco. This book of stories deals with the contemporary relationship of the Irish-Irish and the Irish-Americans in that city. Usually humorous, sometimes painful, other times a combination of the two, that relationship remains an important and extremely soulful one.
"I read every word of these stories, not through professional obligation but through genuine enjoyment, engagement, admiration for mastery of the craft... I was literally moved to tears by some of the stories, transported by all of them into a world of Irish nuns, immigrants, mad poets, white-collar workers, errant priests, lawyers with, of all things, a heart..." -Malcolm Margolin
