The Alluring World of Maiko and Geiko

A foreigner is interested in Maiko and Geiko districts called Kagai in Japanese. But, there were almost no books which respond to the interest. Therefore there are a lot of foreigners who still hold an old image of "geisha girl", too. This book would remove such a misunderstanding through the coverage of the current Kagai in Kyoto. For example Japanese thinks a make-up of Maiko and Geiko is beautiful, but they seem to come out in a foreigner weirdly. The difference in eastern and western culture about beauty is being considered deeply by this book.
