Bumpy, the Gargoyle Slayer
Description
Destiny is what you make it, Bumps, and I want to make you mine.
Bunny Winters, aged twenty-seven, knows a vampire when she sees one, and Alain D'Ange, famous financial genius, and too-hot billionaire, is it. Or him. Whatever. The point is, she's trained all her life to be a slayer, and slaying him, even if it is on national television, is just something that a girl with a destiny has to do. Unfortunately, when she stabs him in the chest, her stake splinters, leaving him very much alive. Worse yet, she gets hauled off to jail for attempted murder. She's just beginning to wonder if she's actually slayer material when the vampire-with-the-impenetrable-heart shows up to rescue her. Of course, he comes bearing an ultimatum: be his fake girlfriend for a month, and he'll help spring her from jail.
Honestly, it should be harder to swipe yes on his offer. Instead, it's far too easy.
Alain isn't a vampire. He's a gargoyle. Very different kind of thing. He's not a guy who can be done in with a silly wooden stake, because stone will beat wood every single time. Since he was born to protect, and since Bumpy (his nickname for the slayer) clearly needs protection from her own worst instincts, he needs to find a way to excuse her assault upon him. Unfortunately, the only thing he can think of is to tell the world she's his actress girlfriend, taking advantage of a global audience in order to promote her new play.
Now, he just has to make her into what he needs her to be, even if it's only for a month, and hopefully salvage both their reputations and livelihoods in the process. Oh, and somehow, he has to manage to not to fall in love with the bouncy blond, because gargoyles and humans don't mix.
But there she goes, slaying his heart...

Person
Roslyn writes from the comfort of her sunroom, dog at hand to interrupt as much as caninely possible. Her life is pretty normal: husband, son, dog that thinks he's a cat, and endless bills, which is probably why her imagination goes right to archangels, monsters, demons, and fated true love, not to mention the darker stuff. No one wants to read about her sink full of dirty dishes. Magick, transformation, and understanding the maligned, however, are her turn-ons, and she hopes they'll be yours, too. One day, she hopes to understand the true nature of this world. Until then, she enjoys creating it.
