Open Citizenship

In "Open Citizenship- Urban Citizenship: Reclaiming the European City", our authors ask about the different levels of political engagement happening in European cities. Although people may not engage politically at the national or EU-level, there is a strong body of evidence to suggest people are actively taking part in democratic processes in their cities, often using protest, squatting, skills-sharing or other means to redress residential, citizenship or voting problems in their cities.

This edition looks at some of Europe's largest and most diverse cities including London, Istanbul and Berlin.
