The book includes research work from engineers, researchers, and practitioners interested in the advances and applications in the field of vehicle technology and communication. The book covers three tracks, namely (1) vehicular electronics, (2) intelligent transportation systems and applications, and (3) vehicular networking security.

Persons
Shu-Chuan Chu received a Ph.D. degree in 2004 from the School of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics, Flinders University of South Australia. She joined Flinders University in December 2009 after 9 years at Cheng Shiu University, Taiwan. She has been Research Fellow and Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Science and Engineering of Flinders University, Australia, since December 2009. Currently, from August 2019, she has been Professor at Shandong University of Science and Technology until 2024. Currently, she serves as Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the School of Artificial Intelligence/School of Future Technology, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. She also serves as Editorial Board Member for Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EAAI), Journal of Internet Technology (JIT) and Journal of Computers (English-Taiwan). Her research interests are mainly in evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence, and wireless sensor networks.
Tsu-Yang Wu received the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Mathematics, National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan. Currently, he is Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence (School of Future Technology), Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China. In the past, he worked at Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen Campus), Shandong University of Science and Technology, and Fujian University of Technology. He serves as Executive Editor in the Journal of Network Intelligence (Scopus, EI). Recently, Dr. Wu selected 2020, 2021, and 2022 Single Year World's Top 2% Scientists. His research interests include cryptography, network security, and metaheuristic optimization.
Anna Esposito received her "Laurea Degree" summa cum laude in information technology and computer science from University of Salerno in 1989 with a thesis on: The Behaviour and Learning of a Deterministic Neural Net. She received her Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics and computer science from University of Napoli "Federico II" in 1995. Her PhD thesis on: Vowel Height and Consonantal Voicing Effects: Data from Italian (published on Phonetica, vol 59(4), 197-231, 2002) was developed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE), under the supervision of Professor Kenneth N Stevens.
Tien-Wen Sung received his Ph.D. degree in computer and communication engineering from Department of Electrical Engineering at Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in 2014. He is currently Full Professor in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Fujian University of Technology, China. He is awarded the Taiwanese Outstanding Talents in Fujian Province of China. He is now Executive Editor of Journal of Information Hiding and Multimedia Processing and Associate Editor of Journal of Network Intelligence. As Guest Editor, he has edited several special issues for SCIE journals. His research interests include artificial intelligence, internet of things, wireless sensor networks, and U-learning.
