Description
Badgers have always lived under the old oak tree. But one day, a terrible storm arrives. Big-hearted Badger works hard to keep his friends safe from the bad weather - protecting burrows and rescuing nests. But who will look after Badger's home in the old oak tree?
Badger and the Great Storm is a warm and touching tale of friendship, courage and new beginnings. With gently humorous illustrations from Caroline Pedler (Don't Wake the Bear, Hare! and There's
No Such Thing as Monsters!), it's the perfect book for sharing with children.

Reviews / Votes
The simple story is one of friendship and courage, and is perfect for sharing with little ones. The illustrations, by Caroline Pedler, are beautiful. * Parenthood Highs & Lows * This was the first book we've read by Suzanne Chiew and Caroline Pedler and we'd love to see more work from them because if they can produce more books like Badger and the Great Storm, then we'd have very happy children all the time. * - Book Passion for Life * This is truly a wonderful story for families to read together. * - for The Love of a Good Book * ...an enjoyable read that demonstrates to children how rewarding it is to put others first before themselves, by helping where he can, which is truly a great way to be. It delivers a strong message of what true friendship is and what it can mean. * - Cracked Nails & Split Ends *More details

When not immersed in children's books, Suzanne Chiew loves painting, playing the piano and long walks on the beach. Caroline Pedler illustrated her first children's book in 1999, and has lost count of how many she has illustrated since! With an MA in Illustration-Authorial Practice under her belt, she always has something creative going on. Caroline lives in a lovely village in Cornwall, where she enjoys walking her dog Bobo, meeting up with friends, and drinking copious amounts of Lady Grey tea.
