Multifunctional Antennas and Arrays for Wireless Communication Systems

This book presents the state-of-art in multifunctional antennas and arrays for efficient frequency spectrum management. A range of topics related to multiple radiating modes in reconfigurable phased arrays and also anti-jamming antennas are covered as well as polarization reconfigurability. Several current approaches to achieve reconfigurable antennas are also described. There are some additional useful topics discussed such as electrically small reconfigurable antennas, massive MIMO antennas for simultaneous multiple generation and beam peak and null forming, reconfigurable antennas for 4G/5G and Massive MIMO applications, use of metamaterial and metasurfaces to such antennas, and recent developments in reconfigurable antennas which are appropriate for 5G application.
