Description
The book describes our contributions towards the 3D reconstruction of deforming objects from images taken with a single camera. As such, solving the problem by considering matching points across the images is not possible without using additional information of the object being reconstructed. In our case, we consider that the objects do not stretch or compress when their shapes are changing. This is largely true for a variety of objects such as clothes, paper-like surfaces, or even a human or animal body to some extent. Using such a prior, a number of methods are proposed here along with their detailed theoretical analysis and experimental evaluations on natural and synthetic images.
