Description
This text is taken from the national Symposium of the Division of Macromolecular Chemistry of the GDCh (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) of March 2000 which was held in Merseburg on the topic of tailormade polymers. The scientific programme was divided in two parts: contemporary activities in polymer synthesis and the tailoring of polymer properties by suitable modification steps. An insight into contemporary activities in polymer synthesis, modification and characterization was given. A selection of the contributions is presented in this volume.
