The JCT Intermediate Form of Contract

The Intermediate Form of Building Contract (IFC 84), first published in 1984, is now a well established form which is used for about 20 per cent of all building contracts. This practical guide, aimed at construction professionals and contractors using the contract, looks at the roles of the parties involved and considers key topics such as claims, payment and arbitration and dispute resolution. The new edition takes account of recent legislation, including the Construction Act and revisions to the contract since the book was last revised in 1991.
