Vile

I thought I dispatched all of the vile beasts. I didn't think any could be worse than the ones I already buried in my backyard. I was wrong, and sometimes they're so much closer than you realize. When Pierson showed up I couldn't decide whether he was a friend or foe. Now I can't picture our world without him, I hope we never have to. You can't imagine what you're willing to sacrifice for the ones you love. I'm put to the test when the monsters come after me and my new family. I've never fought so hard or cut so deep. I hope I can make the right choices, slit the right throats, and conquer the evil--I'll burn everything to the ground to keep the monsters from winning.
