Description
The mystery of the Eucharist is something that we will not fully grasp or exhaust its meaning. However, by rotating the mystery, and examining the Eucharist from different angles or perspectives, we can gain a richer, fuller, and more complete understanding of this Most Blessed Sacrament.
Popular writer and lecturer Joseph M. Champlin rotates the eucharistic mystery and explores it from three vantage points: first as sacrifice, then as sacrament, and finally as presence. Preceding this the author analyzes another mystery of faith: the Paschal, Passover, or Easter Mystery of Christ's coming, dying, rising, and coming again.
In the last part the book treats several desirable inner qualities with which we greet the Risen Christ as our guest and describe ways in which the Eucharist can inspire us to serve others.
-each chapter begins with a personal reflection by a eucharistic minister
-each chapter concludes with a brief related excerpt from the Catechism of the Catholic Church
