Description
Everyone knows that you don't go into Ma Jessop's woods. Everyone but new boy Josh. He's not scared by spooky stories about a wild old witch who drinks human blood. To prove his point to Ella and her friends, Josh goes into the quarry at the heart of the woods and steals a souvenir. But suddenly, terrible things start to happen. Can Ella and Josh find a way to appease Ma Jessop before anyone gets really hurt? Or is the horror only just beginning...

From a very young age Beth Chambers knew she wanted to be an author. She grew up in South Wales where, when she wasn't climbing trees and building dens, she could be found scribbling on pieces of paper. Some years later Beth has had just under thirty books published for children, all written under pseudonyms. When she can manage to tear herself away from her computer she assesses people for Specific Learning Difficulties at the University of Glamorgan in Wales close to where she lives. This is her first title for A & C Black.
