Jack Challoner gained a degree in physics at Imperial College, London, and apost-graduate teaching certificate at Kingston Polytechnic. He worked in theEducation Unit of London's Science Museum for three years. Jack began his career as an author after leaving the Museum in 1991, mostly writing children'sbooks. Since moving back to his native Bristol, he has concentrated more on popular science for adult readers, including books to accompany the highly-acclaimed Equinox series on Channel 4. In all, he has written 22 science books and has performed hundreds of scientific lecture-demonstrations in museums, schools and libraries.
