Abhihit Chakrabarti, PhD, is a former Professor (HAG) in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (formerly BESU), Shibpur. A former Vice- Chancellor of Jadavpur University, Kolkata and Vice-Chairman, West Bengal State Council for Higher Education, Professor Chakrabarti has published/presented 152 research papers in international and national journals and conferences and authored/co-authored 19 books on Electrical Engineering. He has more than seven years of industrial experience and around 34 years of research and teaching experience. Professor Chakrabarti is a recipient of the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Award and the power medal, merit and best paper awards from Central Electricity Authority, India. His areas of interest include power systems and electric circuits.
Sunita Halder, PhD, is Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She has published/presented more than 70 research papers in international and national journals and conferences. Her research interests include Power system operation and control, Voltage stability, FACTS applications, Sustainable energy, Microgrid and Distributed generation.
