Home Economics in Action

Each book in the "Home Economics in Action" series adopts a problem-solving approach for lower-level secondary students and attempts to provide a foundation for GCSE home economics courses. Tasks are included in the text to involve students in discussion, investigation and practical work. This particular textbook focuses on students' own experience of home and family and is based on four key concepts - protection, development, management and interdependence. It is suited to the 11-14 age group and is intended to develop skills of discussion, information-handling and opinion-forming.
