Person
Dean Carson is a comedian, professional storyteller, and former investigative journalist from Ireland. He performs around the world, and many of those locations filter into his thrillers.
As a journalist he covered the drugs war in Limerick city in the early naughties, which cost several lives. His debut book, on that war, was a bestseller, and the most shoplifted book in Ireland. He has written extensively on true crime, and that intimate knowledge of the criminal underworld lends authenticity to his fiction.
Dean is also part of the Global Warrior citizen science initiative, and has travelled extensively in the Arctic. In one of his factual books he exposes the first claimants to the North Pole as frauds.
He has written twenty books in a variety of genres. He has been a best-seller in Ireland, the UK, Australia, and South Africa, with one of his books appearing on the New York Times bestseller list.
He now writes fiction, focusing on vivid characters, exciting plots, and plenty of twists.
