This coloring book, and other products related to the Treebook Project, were created by Lawrence author & photographer M. Carroll in collaboration with 18 artists. The book and coloring book feature realistic and fantastical illustrations of trees including 16 different species of trees that grow in the Midwest. The Treebook Project was inspired by Carroll’s "inability to identify trees, her love of fine art in children’s books, and the lack of distinctively illustrated tree-identification books."
