Neurophysiology

The second edition of this textbook covers the entire subject from the conduction of nerve impulses to the higher psychological functions of the brain. Throughout the text, emphasis is placed on function rather than mechanism, that is, what neuropshysiological systems do rather than how they do it. Using this approach the author gives an understanding of whole systems and their interactions which enables fundamental questions to be met, such as what does the circulation do, and how does it respond to external changes.
