HIPPO - Dead Water
Description
The flood was only the first catastrophe.
A sudden surge of violent currents has wiped out the roads and drowned the communications of an exclusive African wildlife camp. Nine guests and six staff are left stranded on a rapidly shrinking ridge. Their vehicles are useless. Their safe haven is gone.
The rising river has brought something with it.
A massive hyper territorial bull has claimed the flooded tributary blocking their only path to salvation. Statistically the most lethal beast on the continent this three ton juggernaut is not hunting for sport. It is fiercely defending its domain and it views the trapped humans as an intrusion that must be eliminated.
With the current continuing to climb Daniel must lead a desperate push across the murky channel to reach an abandoned maintenance station. They have one heavy rifle five rounds of ammunition and a terrifyingly small window to manually open a drainage gate before the submerged banks give the creature total access to the remaining humans.
This is a brutal high stakes reading experience where the environment is hostile and nature does not negotiate.
