Having defeated the man who had made her life, and that of her husband, a living hell, Serena thought things might start to go back to normal.



Well, as normal as could be for someone with a supernatural shade living inside them. One that allowed her a mastery over darkness and shadows. But fate had other plans. Serena now finds herself hunting down the supernatural artifacts she unwittingly released into the world before the forces of darkness can use them to create creatures out of darkest imagination.



There's a new evil on the loose, one that is using the dark powers of necromancy to make dead things do their bidding.



And that bidding includes destroying Serena, ripping the powerful shade from her body, and bringing about a new world order within the supernatural community. And it seems that no matter what they try, neither Serena nor Joe, have the power to stop them.



Even with her own powers growing stronger, Serena finds herself filling less and less in control of the darkness inside her. It seems her shade has hungers of its own, and even her powerful new allies may not be enough to keep it from taking her over completely.
