Description
An increasing emphasis on foot care, together with recent advances in anaesthesiology and treatment methods, now make it possible to treat by surgery a wide range of forefoot. While many procedures are palliative, there is an increasing emphasis on techniques which will restore foot function. This atlas provides an introduction to the surgical treament of the forefoot, through descriptions backed up by photographs, line drawings and radiographs. For each of the procedures, the authors show techniques most of which can be performed in outpatient clinics without the use of sophisticated equipment. A separate chapter is devoted to each subject and is divided into two parts - an introductory overview of the procedures and problems and an illustrated section with informative captions.
