The PLTS Toolkit

The PLTS Toolkit offers teachers an active way to deliver the National Curriculum PLTS framework. Garry uses a wide range of media, clear lesson objectives and engaging activities to provide comprehensive coverage of these key skills, emphasising the need for transference and coherence in their delivery.The book is divided into six sections with reproducible resources, lesson plans, and web-links to on-line support. The skills are mapped into the programmes and include simulations, group-work activities, personalised learning opportunities and reflective assessment for learning. The activities cover independent enquiry skills, collaborative learning, creativity, personalised approaches to learning including: Assessment for Learning, the management of oneself as a fl exible and resourceful learner, and how to be an effective participant in learning.There are also detailed notes offering explanations and rationale to aid teachers in planning to deliver Every Child Matters,Functional Skills and Citizenship objectives absorbed into the PLTS framework.
