Kathleen Burk is professor emerita of modern and contemporary history at University College London. The author or coauthor of several books, including Is This Bottle Corked? The Secret Life of Wine, Burk holds the Diploma in Wine and Spirits and regularly contributes to The World of Fine Wine. She lives in England.
