Description
An anthology of poetry by the North Cumbria Stanza Group. The Pennine landscape of North Cumbria is a wild and beautiful place and the poets who live there are fully aware of the fragility of existence on the edge of the wilderness. They have braved snow, floods and long journeys on dark winter nights to share poems around a log fire. Their poetry harnesses the creative energy this stunning landscape has always generated and celebrates all aspects of human life.

Jacci Bulman grew up around Accrington, Lancashire, before studying Human Sciences at Oxford University. She overcame a brain tumour and skin cancer, co-founded a charity for children with disabilities in Vietnam (The Kianh Foundation), and began to focus increasingly on spiritual understanding at its simplest - that God is Love. Talking God - Daring to Listen (Lion Hudson) was her first non-fiction book, followed now by Talking Unity. She coordinates the Hope Centre for active faith in 'the love that we are' in Cumbria and guides meditation and deep relaxation classes for people of all faiths or none.
