Since the establishment of the program in 1999, the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) program of Anhalt University of Applied Scinces has organized several international seminars on the use of new technologies in the area of environmental planning and design. These proceedings contain the contributions of the seminar "Landscape Modeling: Digital Techniques for Landscape Architecture" being held on May 15 and 16, 2003 in Bernburg.
Following the focus of the seminar, the proceedings cover the trends in following areas:

Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Erich Buhmann ist seit 1995 Professor für Landschaftsinformatik an der Hochschule Anhalt (FH) in Bernburg. Er leitet dort den Forschungsbereich Landschaftsinformatik und den englischsprachigen Studiengang "Master of Landscape Architecture". Freiberuflich ist er seit 1997 Partner im Landschaftsarchitekturbüro "ATELIER BERNBURG"; Prof. Dr. Stephen M. Ervin ist Dozent an der Havard Design School, USA.
