Lisa Bruce is a successful children's author and a librarian at St Martin's College in Lancaster. She has also been a reviewer for the Bookseller and is currently doing research into children's literature for the Library Association. She lives in Carnforth, Lancashire. Robin Bell Corfield studied Painting at Norwich School of Art and took a PGCE at Reading University. He taught for many years, before becoming a full-time illustrator. He lives in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
