The Author: Lisa Bruce is an established author of both picture books and fiction for children, including PIX AND PAX, a young fiction series based on phonic reading, to be published by Bloomsbury in May and June 1999. She has worked as a librarian so is very aware of what children want, and was the co-founder of OKUK Books, the biggest UK internet children's website for selling books. The Illustrator: This is Rosalind Beardshaw's first picture book. Rosalind lives in SaffronWaldon, Essex.
