Life of Deceit

Peter Abbott is freed even though DI Berry had a water tight case against him, he shoots himself with in hours of getting home. Where did he get the gun and who could have enough power over him? It is soon on the front papers and a lot of women come forward, including a reporter who comes invaluable later on. As people come forward it is clear that Abbott was not alone and passed some children, but how many children and how many people were involved? PC Alan King is invited to help CID with finding out who Abbott's clients and where he spent in his free time. It is soon apparent Abbott has two lives, but who do they follow? Alan is paired with DC Joe Willis to find out could be involved. They have to watch pornographic images and find a boy belonging to one a farmer and long time client of Abbott. They have their first breakthrough and soon are in pursuit of some promising leads, one girl has kept diaries about her abusers and it leads to a sting to catch some of the paedophiles. They arrest some high profile people but they have more evidence on the gang and have to work fast before they get rid of any evidence. Arrests are one thing, proving the cases will take longer.
