Greg Browns love for flying is obvious to anyone who knows his column, 'Flying Carpet, ' in Flight Training magazine, or who has read his books, The Turbine Pilots Flight Manual, The Savvy Flight Instructor, and Job Hunting for Pilots.
A flight instructor since 1979, Greg was the 2000 Industry/FAA National Flight Instructor of the Year, and winner of the 1999 NATA Excellence in Pilot Training Award (National Air Transportation Association). In addition he has served as profession pilot in both scheduled and corporate aviation, and flies extensively for pleasure and personal business.
In keeping with his role as general aviation advocate, Greg has also written for the Be a Pilot program, hosted pilot forums for America Online, and served as a Contributing Editor for NAFI Mentor magazine. He has been presenting to aviation audiences as a speaker since 1990, most recently for NATAs acclaimed 'Flight Training Business Success' seminars.
Greg holds an ATP pilot certificate with Boeing 737 type rating, and Flight Instructor certificate with all fixed-wing aircraft ratings including glider. An active pilot since 1971, Greg was the first 'Master CFI' designated by the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI).
