Effective Teaching Practice

This book is intended for both primary and secondary teachers in training and for those responsible for supervising or inspecting teachers in schools. Often little guidance on teaching practice is given to teachers in training or their supervisors and this book aims to remedy the gap. It has been written to suit developing countries and examples of different organizational systems have been included. Suggestions are made on how to prepare for teaching practice, case studies involving students, headteachers and supervisors are included and advice is given on good classroom practice. Evaluation of teaching practice is covered in detail making it clear to the student what is expected of him/her.
