Liz Brown is a writer from Ontario, Canada. She wrote Dark Ryder for the HIP Series in Canada and also does work for national magazines and newspapers. When Liz went to high school, she knew a group of girls that liked to bully some of the other students. Like Allie in The Bully, the victims eventually talked to some of their teachers. The teachers set up a programme called peer mediation where student leaders would talk to the bullies. The programme worked well because students who were involved in the bullying were more likely to talk to other students about the reasons for their actions. At this point in her life, Liz Brown is thinking about becoming a teacher. If she does, she'll make sure no bullying ever takes place in her classroom.
