It provides a fantastic way for children to recognise and talk about the world outside, as the objects in the scenes can be spotted in real life too, giving hours of entertainment. Illustrated with Jo Litchfield's handmade models, each page of the book features a robust tab enabling children to locate their favourite scenes, quickly and easily.
Reviews / Votes
For the very young, Weather from Usborne's Look and Say series does the job well with rounded tabs along the side, just perfect for helping little fingers to turn the pages, and packed with lots of recognisable images - of puddles, sun hats, kites, snowmen and more. A great book to introduce a child to the concept of seasons, and to the sort of weather, temperature, clothing and outdoor activities we associate with each one. * Child Care * Weather by Jo Litchfield clearly illustrates the different types of weather throughout the five seasons in five different scenes. The book is delightfully chunky, which makes it suitable for little hands. The pictures are bright and stimulating and provide plenty of discussion points. The text within the book presents simple key words. There are pictures of objects to find on the opposite page, which the children enjoyed doing, especially when they received lots of praise encouraging them to find the next one. * Nursery Education Plus *More details
