Description
This course is geared toward the average 2nd year German student and is divided into three parts. It makes no assumptions about students' prior knowledge and reviews even basic vocabulary and grammar. The "Reading and Activities" part is the main component: each of its chapters include 1-3 different readings, each with systematic pre- and post-reading activities and process writing activities. The "Hinfuehrung" (approaching the text) section includes activities to prepare students for the topics, vocabulary and structures they will encounter in the readings. "Textarbeit" (working with the text) contains the readings themselves, along with reading comprehension activities. The "Weiterfuehrung" (beyond the text) follow-up section synthesizes material from the different readings and spins it off into other activities, including process writing activities.
