He is the editor of Smart Libraries Newsletter and creator and editor of Library Technology Guides (https://librarytechnology.org). He has authored the annual Library Systems Report published most recently in American Libraries. He has also edited and authored several books, including Library Technology Buying Strategies. Formerly the director for innovative technology and research for the Vanderbilt University Library, he regularly teaches workshops and presents internationally at library conferences.
