Description
The purpose of this book is to provide an introduction to the comparatively new subject of small animal endoscopy. Emphasis is placed on the normal appearance of organs with examples of pathological conditions. The book is divided into sections based on anatomical areas and each section includes a brief discussion of indications and contra-indications and a review of the basic instruments and techniques employed. The first illustrated book on the subject, it offers a pictorial presentation of the normal appearances and a range of the more common pathological conditions is given with corresponding descriptions. The majority of the book concentrates on the dog but there are chapters on laparoscopy in birds and a review of endoscopic procedures in exotic species.
