Description
This guide aims to take the visitor beyond India's Golden Triangle to explore some of the state's most exciting palaces, temples and forts. It offers an introduction to Rajashthan's cultural diversity and historical wealth while providing the information needed to plan your journey and find your way. The handbook features details of the dozens of former palaces and country homes which have been converted into atmospheric hotels, as well as a variety of guest houses and hotels across the state. A useful phrase section gives the basics, with sections on food and drink. In addition, a wide range of practical information covers hotels and restaurants, train, bus and plane routes, useful tips, and how to stay in touch - with details of everything from post restantes to internet cafes.
