Optical Instabilities

This collection of papers brings together an international body of experts working in the area of instabilities, dynamics and chaos in quantum optics, with a special emphasis on the behaviour of nonlinear media. In particular, the authors discuss the instabilities and nonlinear dynamics of various types of lasers and other nonlinear optical devices, and the physical processes that can give rise to these instabilities.
